FAQ

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We allow cancellations with full refund outside of 3 weeks of the first day of your reservation. 50% refunds will be issued outside of 2 weeks, and no refunds will be issued within 2 weeks.

TELL ME ABOUT THE WATER.

The trailers come filled with 21 gallons of potable water which should last up to an 5 night rental with conservative water use. Remember, this isn't your home tap so be very thoughtful with your water use. If you run out of water before your reservation is up or your designated refill day I can refill your tank for a $40 fee.

I HAVE A TRUCK. CAN I TOW MY OWN TRAILER?

We do not allow towing.

DO YOU ALLOW DOGS?

We do allow dogs! For an extra cleaning fee(you know dogs shed... that takes extra cleaning effort on our part) you can bring your dog adventuring with you! Please don't leave your dog in the trailer unattended. Plan ahead, Arches National Park, and Canyonlands National Park do not allow dogs on trails. Let us know if you would like recommendations for doggy daycare.

ARE THERE SHOWERS OR BATHROOMS?

Teardrop trailers do not have bathrooms or showers. There are many very nice, clean places to take showers in town. The Moab Aquatics Center is our favorite, Up the Creek Campground is great also.

WHERE SHOULD I GET A CAMPSITE?

My favorite and where most guests prefer to stay is at a BLM Campground. They nearly are all first come-first serve so it is a good idea to arrive early in the day or try to book a site at Ken's Lake on recreation.gov. Campgrounds within my free delivery zone are Sand Flats Recreation Area, Highway 128 Campgrounds up to Big Bend, Kane Creek Road Campgrounds up to Ledge, Ken's Lake Recreation Area(reservable on recreation.gov), and Highway 279 up to Gold Bar.  Discover Moab has some great info on the local campgrounds. http://www.discovermoab.com/campgrounds.htm

I DON'T WANT TO FIND A SITE WHEN I GET HERE. CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION SOMEWHERE?

Some guests prefer to have a site reserved and ready to go when they arrive. The Bureau of Land Management just launched reservations at Ken's Lake Campground. You can make a reservation on recreation.gov.  There are also many private in town RV campgrounds that take reservations. The trailers are self contained so there is no need to get a site with hook-ups. Just the most basic site will do. Trailer dimensions are 7'x11'.

**NO DELIVERY TO ARCHES NATIONAL PARK DUE TO FREQUENT GATE CLOSURES.**

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO SELECT MY FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BLM SITE?

Moab can be very busy during Spring and Fall. All reservations booked for March-May and Sept-October must arrive no later than 3pm to select a campsite. If you can arriver earlier, please do.

I WANT TO STAY WHEN IT IS REALLY COLD AT NIGHT. WILL I BE COMFORTABLE?

Absolutely! The trailers are well insulated, we provide ample bedding and the trailers are heated by propane heaters.

I WANT TO STAY DURING THE SUMMER. WILL I BE TOO HOT?

It is true that summer's in the desert are hot! Night time temps generally drop substantially though and guests have found sleeping to be perfectly comfortable.

WHAT IS A TEARDROP TRAILER? IS IT AN RV? IS IT A CAMPER?

Teardrop trailers are everything you need and nothing you don't! We love that they are a bit different from RVs or Campers because the kitchen is outside! We love cooking in nature. The galley hatch provides cover when you open it but you still feel the experience of really getting out there. Just like an RV or a Camper, our teardrop trailers have sinks with hot and cold water and a 2 burner propane stove so that you can cook dinner and clean up with ease after exploring in Arches National Park or Canyonlands National Park for the day!

WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH ARCHES NATIONAL PARK?

Arches National Park is a gem and not to be missed. We do not deliver to their campground but a visit to the park is well worth it. Arches has a reservation system in place now to limit crowding and increase visitor experience. There are two opportunities to get tickets, when they first release them 6 months out(60% of the tickets, check for availability) and at 6pm the night before your desired entry date(40% of the tickets.) Don't worry, if you don't get a ticket or don't want to sweat trying, you can always book a tour with Moab Scenic Adventures. https://www.moabnationalparktours.com/

WHAT ABOUT CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK?

Canyonlands National Park is amazing and entirely different from Arches National Park, and in our opinion you must see both! Canyonlands does not require a reservation so you can just head on up there whenever you like. The views at Canyonlands National Park are of deep canyon views with the Colorado River winding through versus Arches National Park you are down in towers, hoodoos, and arch rock formations. Both are outstanding.

WHAT IS A GOOD RESOURCE FOR MOAB INFORMATION?

Discovermoab.com is a great resource which is the website of the Moab Visitor Center, located in the heart of town at Center and Main Street.
